Penang Mobile Clinic from 9 to 15 May 2016
LFL Prostheses Centre was invited to join effort with the Thai Prostheses Foundation to run the above mobile clinic. The mobile clinic was led by the Honorary Secretary General, Dr. Vajara and his technical team from Thailand. As for LFL Prostheses Centre, we were honored to have Dr. Shivani, Dr. Nadia and Dr. Ong together with our technical staff, Encik Shafie and Mr. Eng Yan Hua to participate in this event. The mobile clinic was very well received with a total of 214 patient consultations and 193 castings produced during the 7-day period. These are the results from years of accumulating the pool of amputees. It is to be noted that the mobile clinic offers artificial limbs to amputees of any financial background and country of origin. This differs from the policy of LFL Prostheses Centre which is to offer free artificial limbs to poor and under-privileged amputees who are Malaysian citizens only.
